ABOUT THE ROLE
Cenco Roofing is seeking a sales development representative (SDR) to play a key role in the company’s growth by setting qualified appointments for the sales team. This position ensures that prospective clients are properly engaged and prepared for a consultation, maximizing the effectiveness of the sales process.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
B2B Outreach
- Conduct outreach to potential business partners, such as general contractors and property managers, to expand Cenco Roofing’s network of commercial partners
- Qualify leads for fit and potential, ensuring alignment with Cenco Roofing's services
- Book appointments with the sales team or company leadership
- Document outreach efforts in the CRM, including logging opportunities and writing interaction notes
B2C Outreach
- Reach out to inbound leads generated through the company’s marketing channels to book highly qualified sales appointments
- Call previous prospects to re-engage and book new appointments for roofing projects
- Obtain referrals from prospects and former clients to ensure a steady flow of potential customers
- Ensure that all decision-makers are present for scheduled sales consultations
- Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities in the CRM
Administrative Tasks
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate stakeholder
- Log activities that feed into sales reports
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge
- Book and follow up on appointments, ensuring confirmation of attendance
- Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects and report on outreach activities and results

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills (C2 on the CEFR scale)
- Extensive experience in over-the-phone conversations in English-speaking environments (e.g., customer service, tech support, or client communications)
- Eagerness to learn and strong motivation to build a career in sales
- Experience handling high call volumes (100–150 dials per day)
- Ability to follow scripts while keeping conversations natural and engaging
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
- Must have own webcam, microphone, and computer (relevant software and subscriptions provided)
- Access to a quiet work area at home with reliable internet (50 Mbps or more)
PREFERRED ("NICE-TO-HAVE") QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in the roofing, home improvement, or construction industry
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and other sales prospecting tools
- Sales experience (appointment setting, call center, outbound calling, or lead generation)
ROLE SPECIFICATIONS
- Base Salary: Q7,500 per month + uncapped sales commissions
- Commissions are based on your booking-to-demo ratio—in other words, the percentage of your booked calls that result in a completed demo with both decision-makers present.
- During your initial months, the role is designed for you to earn at least $250 in commissions, with the opportunity to increase significantly as you progress.
- You can also earn $10 for every cancelled demo you successfully reschedule and $15 for every new demo you book from people on the company list who made an inquiry but never became a customer.
- Role type: Full-time.
- Location: Guatemala (Remote - Work from home).
- Schedule: Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 to 20:00 and Wednesday to Friday from 11:00 to 20:00
- The schedule is designed for you to have the best opportunity for pickups. Most pickups happen in the afternoon after people come home from work. This makes sure you can make more commissions.
RECRUITING PROCESS
- Application / Screening: When you apply for this position, we will ask you a short questionnaire to get to know you a little bit better and ask you for some additional inputs to see if you qualify for the position. In addition, we will ask you to complete a short psychometric evaluation and a short English proficiency assessment. The idea is to explore if this is a good fit before moving forward.
- Skills Assessment: You will be asked to complete a few exercises and/or projects designed to recreate the work tasks that you will be responsible for if you are given the role. This helps us gauge your skill level as well as give you a better idea of the required work.
- Skills Assessment Interview: This is a 60 min - 90 min conversation where we further test your skills, learn about your previous working experiences, and evaluate culture fit to the role and company.
- Hiring Manager Final Interview: This is a 30 min - 60 min conversation with the position’s Hiring Manager (and potentially a few company team members) to get to know you better and to set the expectations and vision for the role.
The entire process usually takes anywhere between 2-4 weeks to complete depending on the seniority of the position.
