Talent Acquisition Specialist
ROLE SUMMARY
ABOUT THE COMPANY
METEOR is a talent solution provider focused on helping businesses in the United States and Canada find the best talent in Latin America. By leveraging a world-class recruiting system and a robust employer-of-record service, METEOR offers businesses a cost-effective alternative to hiring locally—without compromising on the quality of hired employees. Additionally, we remove administrative and legal complexities for the businesses we work with. Our mission is simple: connect great people with great companies, regardless of where they live.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As METEOR continues its rapid growth, the company is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who brings deep experience as a Virtual Assistant (VA) or Executive Assistant (EA). This experience will be essential in helping our recruiting team assess and select top candidates for remote assistant roles. You do not need to have prior recruiting experience—we will teach you that. What we need is someone who knows what excellence looks like in a VA/EA, because you've lived it.
In this role, you'll support the full recruitment cycle while applying your assistant experience to evaluate candidates, ensure quality matches, and elevate the hiring process for clients who rely on top-tier VAs and EAs.
What’s in it for you?
- Join a fast-growing company that has doubled in size every year.
- Gain hands-on experience with a world-class recruiting system.
- Grow your expertise in talent acquisition and recruitment strategy.
- Regular exposure to international clients.
- Earn performance-based commissions on successful hires.
This position is perfect for someone who:
✅ Has worked as a high-performing Virtual or Executive Assistant
✅ Enjoys evaluating people and helping determine who’s right for specific roles
✅ Wants to pivot into talent acquisition while leveraging their assistant background
✅ Likes working in structured environments with clear processes
✅ Has an interest in helping others improve and grow in assistant roles
✅ Takes ownership and responsibility in everything they do
METEOR CORE VALUES
At METEOR, we value technical skills as much as cultural fit. That’s why it’s important for anyone joining our team to embody our Core Values:
- Commitment to Excellence – If your name is on it, make sure it’s done right. No shortcuts, no half-measures.
- Extreme Ownership – Your results are your responsibility. If something goes wrong, take charge of fixing it.
- Maintain a Growth Mindset – There’s no such thing as "I can't"—only "I haven’t learned how yet."
- Strive for Simplicity – Complexity kills efficiency. Focus on what matters, cut the rest.
- Discipline Over Motivation – Motivation comes and goes. Discipline keeps you moving forward.
- Consistency Over Intensity – A little progress every day beats bursts of effort followed by burnout.
- Resourcefulness Over Resources – You don’t need more; you need to make the most of what’s already there.

- Prepare and customize communication templates (email, WhatsApp, job boards)
- Collaborate with the marketing team on ad copy and sourcing strategies

- Use inbound and outbound sourcing strategies (LinkedIn, job boards, etc.)
- Review and tag applications to identify high-potential candidates
- Maintain organized and updated pipelines within the ATS
- Apply judgment rooted in assistant experience to shortlist talent

- Participate in or lead structured interviews
- Analyze test results and feedback for accurate candidate evaluation

- Deliver timely rejections with clarity and care
- Share regular updates with clients on campaign status
- Coordinate interview schedules between candidates, METEOR, and clients
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Process Improvement
Hiring is an evolving process. Your ideas and observations will help METEOR continue to refine and strengthen its systems and outcomes.
- Track and report on recruitment metrics and performance
- Suggest improvements to workflows and candidate experience
- Contribute to SOP documentation and best practices
- Research new tools or strategies to improve hiring results
Training Content Development (Stretch Assignment)
While not a core responsibility, you may occasionally be asked to support training development efforts. This stretch assignment allows you to contribute to the professional growth of assistants based on your own experiences.
- Provide input for pre-hire readiness content for VA/EA candidates
- Share insights on behaviors and habits of top-performing assistants
- Collaborate on post-hire resources for onboarding and performance
- Help document internal guidelines and role-specific expectations
Although the responsibilities outlined above will form the core focus of your role, please note that your hiring manager may assign additional relevant tasks as needed to align with the evolving objectives of your position and the overall goals of our business.
