Virtual / Executive Assistant (General Application)
ROLE SUMMARY
ABOUT THE COMPANY
METEOR connects high-quality professionals in Guatemala with companies in the United States and Canada that are looking to grow their teams with dependable, long-term remote talent. We help candidates find meaningful international job opportunities that offer stability, growth, and professional development.
We recruit standout individuals—the most driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable professionals in the country—and connect them with companies where they can thrive. Once selected, candidates are hired through a legal entity in Guatemala. This ensures every team member receives full legal benefits, including social security, medical coverage, paid time off, and bonuses. Whenever possible, we also aim to offer compensation above local market averages and provide employment that is formal, fair, and sustainable.
ABOUT THE TALENT POOL
Traditionally, we used to hire people based on individual campaigns. But we’ve since decided to change our approach in order to increase the number of opportunities available for professionals.
Instead of hiring for a single role at a time, METEOR is building a Virtual Assistant (VA) and Executive Assistant (EA) Talent Pool—a group of vetted professionals who are ready to be matched with companies based on their skills, preferences, and availability.
Once you apply, you’ll go through a clear evaluation process, including an English proficiency test, a psychometric evaluation, and general skills assessments that reflect the type of work our clients typically delegate to VAs and EAs. After an interview with our team, successful applicants will be added to the talent pool.
Your profile will include everything we need to know to match you effectively: your strengths, skills, task preferences, industry experience, schedule availability, salary expectations, and more. When new client requests come in, we’ll filter the talent pool to find the best candidates based on those specific requirements.
Being part of the talent pool doesn’t mean an automatic assignment. Additional steps—like an interview or follow-up exercise—may still apply. But because most of the process has already been completed, you’ll be closer to placement and better positioned for upcoming roles.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Virtual Assistants (VAs) and Executive Assistants (EAs) help business owners and teams buy back their time by taking ownership of essential tasks that allow the business to operate and grow more efficiently.
While the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, the key difference is that Executive Assistants work directly with CEOs or senior leaders in a more strategic, high-trust capacity, whereas Virtual Assistants tend to support broader teams with less direct involvement in executive-level decision-making. In either role your contributions can help teams become more productive, more focused, and better organized.
This is a versatile, high-impact role. You might work directly with a founder, support an operations team, manage internal systems, assist in content or marketing, or take on a mix of functions depending on the client's needs. What matters most is your ability to communicate clearly, stay organized, and follow through on what you commit to.
By joining this talent pool, you’ll gain access to long-term opportunities where you can grow professionally while making meaningful contributions to fast-moving, global teams.
This position is perfect for someone who:
✅ Always brings structure, organization, and clarity to any project or system
✅ Enjoys learning new tools and technologies (like AI) to make work more efficient
✅ Feels confident asking questions and speaking up when something’s unclear
✅ Works well without micromanagement, anticipates problems, and takes initiative daily
✅ Is excited to learn how different businesses work and how they can contribute
✅ Uses both critical thinking and proactiveness to solve problems and make decisions
